Are you interested in getting trained as a referee so that you can referee games in Tucson Adult Soccer League around the game you play in? All referees are paid to officiate games. Since you are a soccer player, you already know the game. Come learn the rules and you can be a trained referee.
Two ways you can help as a referee;
1. Be a volunteer referee. Still get paid but just fill in on games when there is a great need to fill the holes on the schedule. Contact Amanda Abbott if you are interested in helping out this way at email@example.com
2. Become a certified referee. Anyone 13 years old and up
Step 1. Go to www.azref.com/grassroots-2.. All steps to becoming a referee are listed on the website.
Step 2. Take online course. Cost is $85
Step 3. Take Field training class, held in person.
To be a certified referee you will need to complete both trainings (online course and field course).
Online course must be completed at least 2 days prior to the field course, by 9pm.
Next field course is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 3rd from 5-10pm at Lincoln Park.
***There is another class now set up for Dec. 11 from 12-5pm at Doolan Middle School fields.***
Thank you to all the volunteers that have been helping with games. And congratulations to those players that have become certified recently.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping becoming a referee. Anyone is invited to participate. Neighbors, co-workers, family members, and children (13 and up).
