Player registration for the Spring 2024 coed season is $100. We understand this is a substantial increase, however, this was an unavoidable change for the following reasons:

  1. Kino Sports Complex have significantly increased their usage fees. While we have worked diligently to negotiate a lower fee, the facility is also under pressure to address their own operating costs. The benefits of playing at Kino come at a premium: the best quality fields in the city, one central location for the entire league to play, the best amenities of any park, pre-lined fields and equipment set-up.
  2. Prices have also increased for the city & county fields. In addition to this, the availability of these fields are also in high demand from other organizations.
  3. TASL lost a important league sponsor at the end of 2023 and we are actively working on developing a new partnership with a like-minded company who can supplement our expenses.
  4. The price increase certifies that we have adequate resources to schedule make-up matches in the event of game cancellations due to weather or teams forfeiting.

We are planning to make accommodations to help with this change. This will include an early-bird discount, as well as a new payment option for players to pay in disbursements before the season the season begins. In addition to this, players in the Women’s (+30) League may also guest play on Coed teams on Friday nights.

Every dollar generated in revenue is dedicated to sustaining our essential operational needs as a non-profit 501(c)(4) corporation. This encompasses expenses such as facility reservation costs, compensation for referees, insurance coverage, legal services, ongoing website maintenance, and a modest budget allocated to our dedicated administrative staff who are committed to delivering exceptional service to our members each season. Over the course of our history, we have also contributed resources for enhancing facilities citywide, benefitting the entire community with improvements such as lights, fences, goals, nets, and line-paint.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these changes together. Our commitment to hosting a vibrant soccer community remains unwavering, and we look forward to a fantastic Spring 2024 season with your continued participation. Thank you as always for being a valuable part of the TASL family.
